Hi,

Some questions:

1. How big is your Van? As the photo looks like its not that big.

2. As mentioned, I have the following big items of 1 king Bed, 6 seater, 4 seater sofa, 3 wardrobes, 3 chest of drawers.

3. Will you de-assemble the big items and assemble it back? This would be needed for bed and dinning table.

4. I have not done my packing yet, so not sure on the exact number of boxes and suitcases - this may increase after we do the packing. How do we address this?

my van i s plenty big enourhg to the items you disclose, and thanks for being honest enough to admit that you dont know the number of boxes etc as yet. This is what often makes bidding on these sites impossible and there is not a lot one can do about it. Assembly again is not a precise science it took us two hours the other day to assemble a poorly made flatpack bed because we had to drill out new screw holes.

The only fair way of assessing a job is an hourly rate (£36.00 per 2 man/hour) which we try and estimate with our bids but frankly I think your job is going to take longer than 3 hours, which our bid was based upon.what I would be prepared to do is come and look at what youve got. Accept the bid bid and if we find it is wholly unrealistic either you will have your deposit back and can use someone else or we can do a deal on the extra items or work. we are at least very local to your delivery point. Please note at the moment your list as in this message bears no resemblance to the list on the webise (there is not mention of a 6 seat sofa etc)

Sorry for the confusion on 6 seater - this is 6 seater dinning table which is mentioned in the initial description. I am more than happy for you to come over and take a look at the things I have - how can we sort this?

ah thanks what I suggest is this - at the moment the only way of getting in contact with each other is for you to accept the bid and that we will be given your details and you ours.We then look at the goods and the assembly and disaaembly difficulties, and if we like each other we agree a deal on the work outside the terms of the bid/ and if you dont like us you fcan transfer your deposit to aonther courier. All that happens is that anyvan ask our permission and we agree it is the only way of solving an impossible conundrum which makes e-bay and its assoicated sites so tricky at times

We are in packing phase now and in couple of days we will complete it. Once this is done we can have better picture.
