Here at AnyVan, we know how difficult it can be to move those trickier household items.

If you're a big lover of your shed and are moving house soon, you've probably been contemplating just how you are going to take your beloved shed with you.

Here are our 7 easy steps on how to move your shed...

1.  Survival - First you need to start off by helping your shed survive the transportation. You can do this by covering the shingles with a tarp. This will also help if you are moving long distance.

2.  Digging - You will need to get a shovel and dig under the shed, in order to access the corners so you can insert jacks underneath them.

3.  Prepare for lifting - Next lift the building two spans up above the ground so that you are able to have enough space to place the moving structure.

4.  Boards - Insert long boards underneath the shed and bind them all together. You can also use long pipes or anything suitable.

5.  Hook - Tie a hook to the shed somewhere secure in the middle of one of the side walls and connect it to a car, truck or van.

6.  Wheels - Now it’s time to install wheels at the bottom of the construction, this way you are able to move the shed to the new location very easily.

7.  Arrival - Uninstall the moving construction and release the shed on the ground of your chosen new destination.

Although this is a quick and easy guide, bare in mind it is quite tricky to move a shed. If you're in doubt about whether or not you can complete the job yourself, why not visit www.anyvan.com and get a free quote for a stress free shed move!
