These gents managed to seriously damage both items of furniture that we entrusted to them. A side panel and the lid were torn off a small upright piano and then, seemingly not content with the impressive achievement of arriving nine hours late with one damaged item, these guys then went on to drop and seriously damage a chest of drawers. The back of the van was in negligently bad order and probably led to at least the piano damage. Blengo I agree with the fact that a small piano and a drawer from a chest of draws were damaged solely because my then new recruit definitely failed to professionally handle these 2 reasonably lightweight goods. I solely took the blame and advised the customer not to pay us anything but they still paid £44 from just over £100 job. Consequently, I immediately dismissed that driver's mate from his duties after just one day with them inorder to rebuild my company's reputation. That day has since been the only time when breakages happened within my company. Once again please accept my apologies on behalf of my company for the damage and any inconvenience caused. I had to deal with the situation accordingly by relieving the porter of his duties as soon as the damage had been caused. Thank you. |
