Simple man plus van service keeping costs down.
(we also do removals providing extra staff when requested)
We generally bid/ask questions in the evening then reply to messages in the morning as we keep our route details in the office.
WE are insured up to 30k
(bikes and quads 15k and we have ramps to load).
WE aim to deliver within 14 days.
This answers the 'when can you do it question'!
Please be so kind as to ensure your collection address is as flexible as you are as we can only be in one place at any one time.
WE have 4 vans with single drivers
(and a separate large van and 2/3 staff for removals)
We generally bid on flexible listings, this you understand means THAT ITEMS ARE COLLECTED AT OUR DISCRETION AND DELIVERED AT OUR CONVENIENCE. THIS IS HOW WE OFFER THE BEST POSSIBLE PRICE.
Any delay caused by a collection address not being flexible is IN NO WAY our responsibility and your job will have to be collected the next time we are in that area, please be aware of this.
Like public transport, we have routes and timetable to keep.
Delivery ground floor to ground floor only as courier insurance (not removals) does not cover us for stairs
(we don't mind a few steps)
Collection and delivery on a simple am or pm basis from 0700 - 2000 and we take cash on delivery ONLY
please ensure you provide/arrange ENOUGH assistance at all addresses, this keeps costs to you down.
(excluding removals obviously)

In the end it was OK, but we were left feeling uncertain about when it would all happen,so more communication would make a big difference. The recipient had to wait much longer than expected for it to arrive, and found he was expected to pay then and there. I thought the 'customer',(me) would be invoiced later. Tlcvan (575) replied: Firstly, I have kicked my own arse regarding comunication on this one, quite simpily, it slipped through the net and I will hold my hand up to this one and a do appreciate the fair, honest feedback left by this customer however, may I also point out, for this and other customers, that I do state clearly in my business description (just click on my name) that I collect cash on delivery. I state this as I try to offer the best prices possible and if I have to add card or paypal payments,I then have to add 3% to the final bill, pushing up the cost of any bids I place, which as a result means that people who would normally pay cash on delivery would then be getting quotes at a price 3% higher. Thus unfair to them. we believe that all customers should get a decent fair price for the work we do and the long hours on the road. Having cash ready is so much faster for us and the customer. I will finish by saying that, as the customer, again, thank you for the honest feedback, this is the sort of feedback I find is the most valuable a provider can receive, straight down the line and people can learn from it as an example to both providers and potential customers. I apologise for the lack of communication, Failure on my part. As for other providers reading this, we cant fault the customer, we hope by her feedback and my response, that lessons are learned by all parties.myself, my team, this customer and any potential customer. to this customer, do take care |

So far I am decidely unimpressed. My request for delivery was made and the deposit paid around the 20th October. To date, 31st October, I have heard nothing and obviously still don't have the writing bureau I am waiting for and have paid for. Tlcvan (575) replied: TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATE 14 DAYS. collection was planned for monday so as to be delivered this week however the collectee was inflexible as expected us there at 3pm on the dot which is almost impossible in this job. Collection missed route missed negative received. |
