For home removals, we quote based on your inventory. Because when it comes to moving, the more certainty – the better.
It can be tempting to go with an hourly rate, but the truth is that moving days rarely go exactly as planned. Traffic jams, rainstorms, parking issues – these kinds of delays are out of your control, and they can quickly turn an hourly-rate move into something far more stressful and expensive.
Every home move comes with a dedicated moving expert who helps you work out your full inventory – including a video survey if you want one. That means we can plan your move with greater confidence. And as long as everything is as described, the price you see is the price you’ll get.
But, some customers are dead set on an hourly rate, so we can quote for this when explicitly requested on the Booking Request Form for smaller delivery services.

Occasionally, our customers are charged more than what they are quoted - but this is avoidable! That is, so long as we have accurate information before moving day.
We’ve written up a list of the unexpected costs that tend to crop up the most, and how we can work together to prevent them in the first place. Keep in mind: additional charges don't simply come out of nowhere. And, remember, you must update your booking at least 48 hours before your move!

We also offer flexible payment plans with Klarna, so that you can pay at your own pace. If you qualify, you can even find a payment plan with 0% interest.
Just remember, it's much easier to change a quote ahead of time than it is to figure things out on moving day when you're potentially (though, we hope you won't be!) stressed.

Your quote may differ depending on the specifics, but these are in the ballpark of what you would expect to pay with us (bearing in mind we have a price guarantee if you can find a better price elsewhere!).

If you are moving fragile items, or just want the extra peace of mind, you can always choose to add Protection+ to your move at an additional cost. Protection+ covers loss, fire and theft up to £20k total, including any accidental damage to your goods whilst in transit, including the risks of loading and unloading, up to the value you choose. In the unlikely event something goes wrong during your move, be sure to immediately document any damage with photographs, and inform the driver of the issue before they leave. Contact our customer service team within 7 days with documentation to begin the claim eligibility process.
That 7-day window is important, so check your belongings when they arrive – not three weeks later.
The main thing is to make sure you're not comparing apples with oranges. Be sure to check that the quotes you're comparing include an inventory so that each company provides the right vehicle, equipment and size of team. If they're quoting by the hour be sure to allow for delays – it's normal for things to take longer than you expect, so you could find yourself facing additional charges for the extra time!
We offer a price-match guarantee. If you manage to find a like-for-like quote that's cheaper than ours (same inventory, distance, access, coverage, and protection levels from a legitimate insured removal company), we'll beat it (see T&Cs).
It's also worth checking what level of insurance or compensation cover is included in each quote. AnyVan includes £50k complimentary cover (see T&Cs) with every move, and you can opt for AnyVan Protection+ if you want additional peace of mind.
Finally, read reviews on independent sites like Trustpilot. There's no worse feeling than regretting not doing your due diligence because you were sucked in by a cheap price. If it seems too good to be true, it usually is!
